99 Antennas is a data consultancy firm. Our team of data researchers and data scientists helps clients develop evidence-based strategies to improve civic participation and engagement. We are seeking a data scientist to join our team on a part-time basis. You will be working on a range of both internal projects and external projects with partners.

The ideal candidate will be thorough, diligent, highly detail-oriented, curious and motived by accuracy. Experience in data analysis, data engineering, NLP and machine learning. A background in computer science preferred, but not required.

This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience developing data applications. You’ll be working with a small team of professionals based remotely. Hours are flexible. Two scheduled check-ins/code reviews are required weekly.

Commitment: 20hrs/week

Requirements: Familiarity with some or all of the following data/application tools:

Python
Data analysis, statistics
Natural language processing (NLTK, word2vec, etc.)
Data visualization (D3.js, Seaborn, ggplot, etc.)
HTML, CSS, javascript
Git/Github
